The sound of Handwriting
The sound of Handwriting
There is something I have never shared before with anyone. Can I trust you with it?
There are many ways to remember a dear person.
Their voice, their laugh, the way they say your name.
But for me, it was their handwriting.
Ink on paper, yet somehow I can hear their voice through it.
Like I’m reaching a deep, hidden spot in their soul, as if they were sharing a valuable thing with me.
That they were trusting me with something precious, I could just sit for hours, staring at the letter, reading it again and again.
Like if the words would move, breathe, or speak back.
I have a bunch of letters from people who filled my life with beautiful memories.
I'll never forget them.
Now let me ask you, "What makes you feel connected to people you've loved?"
